ABOUT THE SHOW: ROCK, HARP & OPERATIC SOUL

A play on the genre “Rock n’ Roll”, combined with traditions of opera and classical harp, the Rock Harp & Operatic Soul edition of Soul Sista’s Juke Joint pays tribute to legendary women through the musical and artistic talents of some of Atlanta’s legendary independent female artists. This edition will pay tribute to Aretha Franklin, Toni Morrison, Nancy Wilson, Maya Angelou, Alice Coltrane, Ntozake Shange, Sharon Jones and Jessye Norman. Featured artists and cast includes CC Sunchild, Divinity Roxx, Maya Neiada, T Lang, Maleke O'Ney, Rashida Abdullah, Brenda Nicole Moorer, Tishona Miller, Monica Hargrave, Kim Strings, Carina Ayiesha, Melissa Alexander, Poetically Correct, Kassondra Rockswell, Edeliegba Senior Dance Ensemble, Pearl School of Modeling and the Soul Sista's Juke Joint Band.

Established in May 2002 as the Southeast’s premiere female showcase, Soul Sista’s Juke Joint ® is a musical theatrical that integrates the works of independent female artists from varying artistic genres and interweaves them into a themed, live-music production.
